Two days of prayer, praise, and learning--this is what the pastor conference in Aweil was able to bring for 1,157 pastors this year. The sounds of singing and trilling filled the open air as pastors from all over the region lifted their voices in praise.

 

Technology is almost non-existent in South Sudan, and so this conference is one of the only ways for pastors to meet with one another to share the word. With a lack of COVID restrictions in South Sudan, pastors were able to meet in person (with masks!) in order to teach, learn, and fellowship with others during this difficult year. We were even able to connect several Houston pastors live through WhatsApp to share words of encouragement and faith.
